Thank you so much for posting an article about art!! I am fortunate enough to have been exposed to different areas of art growing up. For as long as I can remember, I would have art/craft time with my mom, aunt, and cousin. There was always something in mind to do with an art project. It was always so much fun! And now I am currently taking two art classes in a community college and it has been the best time during my college experience. I recently chose Graphics Arts as my major and I have seven prep art classes to take before transfer, and I am very excited about this journey. These are are my first art classes (beginning drawing and 2D) and I have been exposed to soo much and have learned many, many things. Art has definitely been a spiritual strength for me!!

Thank you EMM, it is so important to remind people of the importance of the arts. Kids need the arts and unfortunately with California’s current budget mess, our schools are in serious jeopardy of losing funding for arts programs. Please contact your local school districts and see what you can do to help.

sign up for an art class, hold a fundraiser for your local arts organization, shop at the galleries near you for that special item and special someone.
