TAKE ACTION TODAY

  • Obey speed limit signs. Doing so shows respect for the law, your life, and the lives of others.
  • Slow down to give yourself time to avoid hitting debris, animals, and potholes. Potholes cause millions of dollars in damage to cars each year.
  • Stay at least one car length behind the vehicle in front of you for every 10 mph you’re driving.
  • Leave early. Allow enough time to get where you’re your going.
  • Use caution and take appropriate safety measures when driving in extreme weather conditions.

YOU MATTER

You can’t get a speeding ticket if you don’t speed. It costs you nothing to slow down, and you might even save money on gas and brakes. Also, you set a good example for other motorists and for anyone who is in the car with you. The accident you prevent or the life you save just may be your own.

This is a hard one for just about every body. I’ve found, though, that leaving earlier and driving in the slow lane gives more time for enjoying the journey. People who want to speed may honk or pass me, but a close look will show that they’re the unhappy ones, not me. I also use this time to work on Monday #47 and spend a lot of my trip talking with God.

So when you drive, go the speed limit, try the slow lane, and take time to meditate/pray and enjoy the scenery as you drive.

People who drive over the speed limit will have a price to pay. Just the other day a friend died from drinking and driving.. Maybe people need to learn from wat is happening all around us.
