Matthew Emerzian Presents at Q
NEW YORK — April 9, 2008. Matthew Emerzian, co-author of Every Monday Matters is presenting today at Q. Q is a three-day experience conference in New York coordinated by the Fermi Project that brings together key voices in the church and exposes them to the fundamental cultural, social and environmental shifts taking place in the world.
Emerzian, a social entrepreneur, will be speaking on the significance of working together with friends and family to make a difference in people’s lives and our communities. Cognizant of the busy schedules of today’s families, most activities Emerzian will speak about take little time, but can result in big rewards of social accomplishment. Plus, he’ll share weekly activities that are easy to implement.
“Millions of people each year want to know how to make a difference. By providing some direction on what’s needed in our communities and what people can do to take action TODAY, we’ve found that people catch on fire with enthusiasm. And, the more they see the fruits of their labor, they realize that they sometimes get more out of the experience than they ever thought. It’s a win for our communities and it’s a win for people feeling good,” says Emerzian.
Clearly written and colorfully illustrated, Every Monday Matters uses a three-pronged approach to each proposed activity. The facts demonstrate the need; the action is what you can do, and finally the impact of your actions and how they matter.
Make your Mondays matter. Start this Monday.

Located in Los Angeles, CA, Every Monday Matters’ mission is to empower people to get involved in making a difference in the world. It is dedicated to helping ordinary people do extraordinary good. Every Monday Matters’ “involvement” guidebook, authored by Matthew Emerzian and Kelly Bozza, provides useful, straightforward activities to get people involved and focused on what matters most.
The Fermi Project is a broad collective of innovators, artists, social entrepreneurs, and church and societal leaders experimenting with ways to advance the common good in culture.
Q was created as a gathering place for leaders in the church to become informed and exposed to future-culture. In a three-day experience, Q introduces participants to twenty-five presenters on a myriad of topics selected to heighten awareness and challenge creativity as they consider their role in shaping culture. No other gathering exists that attracts pioneers of the church and the most innovative thinkers into one space for conversation, learning, invention and collaboration. Q brings together key voices in the church and exposes them to the fundamental cultural, social and environmental shifts taking place in the world. By exposing church leaders to current realities about our culture, they can re-imagine how the gospel can be expressed in this context-forever changing their approach in their cities and communities.
