Every Monday Matters is all about YOU. Remember, YOU have the power to make a difference. It all starts with YOU. YOU is all YOU need. We just want to help. Here are some ways YOU can get involved. Have fun.

YOU MATTER.

START an EMM Club, Team, Group, Posse. Gather your friends, family, co-workers, fellow students, church groups. 2 people make a team…so do 50. Doesn’t matter how big it starts, just start it and it will grow. Make it fun. Challenge each other and other groups.

SPREAD the word. A movement can only grow if people know about it. Be loud. Be heard. The sky is the limit. Email friends. Create and pass out flyers. Use sidewalk chalk. Tell your teachers, bosses, brothers and sisters. Buy a megaphone. Someone will listen.

VOICE what matters to you. Talk to local radio stations, newspapers, and TV channels. Write letters to churches, companies, schools, and politicians. Get them to support and join your team. Get restaurants to donate food. Get stores to sponsor your events. People can’t help unless they know.

PLAN an event…or a whole bunch of them. Have a party with a purpose. Do a carwash, a bake sale. Start a clothes drive. Have a concert. Video game tournament. Anything to raise some money and awareness for something. Once it is planned, promote the heck out of it. Let us know if we can help.

GATHER every Monday. Why…because Every Monday Matters. If Mondays don’t work, then you have 6 other days to choose. Just gather and go make it happen. Invite new people, make new friends. The more the merrier. Go have some fun and make a huge impact in your community.

WRITE stories, comments, and ideas. We want to hear about what you are doing. Write them on blogs, buildings, beaches, billboards, boxes…or anything else that starts with a “b.” (Don’t vandalize). We also want your ideas. Send them to us. We will be publishing some of these ideas in our next book.

SHOOT video and photographs. The world wants to see what you are doing and how you are making a difference. You are the eyes of the world. Post your content online, email it to us, send us your mini-DVs, we may want to use it on our site or in our next book and future videos.

BUY the book. The book is your bible, your guide, your beacon, your outline. It’s not the whole story, but it is a pretty good start. Buy one for a friend too…or 10 friends. A portion of every book sale is donated to a charitable cause. Ah. That feels good. Giving never got so easy.

WEAR an EMM shirt, hat, or carry an EMM canvas bag. Either get one from us or make one yourself. We don’t care. We believe in individuality. If you have a t-shirt design in mind, go for it. Silk screen it. Puffy pen it. Bedazzle it, or bling it outand wear it with pride. That’s all we ask. Oh, and send us one too. We are collecting them.

DONATE your time, your money, and even your pants that haven’t fit in five years. Time is the only thing in the world you can’t get back, so donating it sends a strong message. But if you don’t have time, then money always works.

CREATE a MySpace page for your community, city, team. Same with Facebook. Or join one that is already created in your community. We have banners and billboards you can get from our MySpace Page. Besides that, make it your own. Express yourself. Just create it and share it. Billions of people are waiting to join your team. They are just one click away.

   April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. Do your part to make sure that are children are cared for.
