This book/movement emboddies everything that I stand for. I teach in a High School. On Mondays I play the oldie song "Monday, Monday...so good to me, Monday Morning..." I take that opportunity to charge students for the week. I am also the service learning coordinator for my school. I preach on a daily basis ways that students can make a difference. We have participated in many efforts; Texas Trash Off, Pink Out! Passionately Pink for the Cure, Freedom March, Food Drives, Project Greenway, and more. I stumbled across this book on one of my ventures to the book store. I am soooo very happy that I did. I would very much like to share it with the students at my school. Thank you for your vision!

Matt,
Congratulations to a former student. You continue to be a visionary person who sees the possibilities and has the drive to make them happen. :)

I read your book from cover to cover. It was great. In fact, I found it to be truly inspiring. I am a 8th Grade Language Arts teacher and I used the idea of making a difference on a small scale the theme of my last 9 weeks study. I gave the students 30 local topics to choose from, that impacked their lives and the lives of their families. They needed to research, write an essay, make a poster, and give a 5 minute speech based on their topic. It's been great. I plan to do this every year with all my students. I usually have about 115 I teach daily. I hope I don't get in trouble with you for stealing a wonderful idea and making it relevant to what my kids understand and see everyday. Thanks for a great lesson.
