What did you do on Earth Day?

April 28, 2008

Earth Day came and went, but that doesn’t mean we should stop caring about our beloved planet.  I guess it’s kind of like Valentine’s Day.  You can still buy your loved ones flowers or chocolates on the other 364 days of the year.

So here is the deal…

We will do our part to help remind you of earth-loving things you can do, but you have a role in this as well.

1.  You have to go out and make it happen.

2.  Get your friends and family involved.

3.  We want to hear about it, so please add your comments/stories below.

And remember, we have to love our earth for it to love us back.   Kind of like a friend…

I started composting! I’m so excited to be putting the good stuff back in the earth and have great looking flowers because of it!

I compiled a ‘green guide’ about ways to practice the 3Rs in my area and emailed it to all my family and friends to encourage them to be a friend of the earth everyday. And I taught a class at our local art gallery on how to make cool jewelry with ‘found objects’.

There was an Earth Day celebration at work with a farmer’s market and booths with lots of great information. I planted a few tomato seeds in a newspaper pot that I can plant directly into the ground!

    I planted a tree*
